Jon Tigert and Jenna Applegarth

Jon and Jenna hail from Nashville, TN and began dancing together in 2013. Their students appreciate how Jon and Jenna are able to keep class material challenging yet attainable, well balanced between ideas, vocabulary and connection and somehow still manage to keep it fun and entertaining. They are known for their energy on and off the floor and you will often find them making terrible puns, whether or not they are dancing. Between the two of them, they hold titles from many national competitions such as Camp Jitterbug, ILHC, Camp Hollywood, ULHS and more. They have performed in productions with Benaroya Hall, Lincoln Center, Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra and Cincinnati Symphony, as well as numerous music videos and television shows. Their expertise of the Swing Era dances, combined with their first-rate teaching skills makes them a favorite among dancers worldwide.

James Pack

James Pack started dancing lindy hop at the University of Delaware in 2010, where he has since fostered what is easily one of the strongest college swing dancing scenes on the East Coast. When teaching, James strives to make his class experience one that includes as much entertainment as learning, and is known for infecting students with his enthusiasm.

In social dances, James pays close attention to his partner and focuses on creating an

enjoyable experience for everyone. He often opts for rhythmic games and repetition of simple ideas instead of flashy moves. James is a hardcore social dancer and will often be seen on the floor until the very end of late nights.

Shannon Lea Watkins

Known for being a spirited dancer, Shannon Lea strives to create a joyful conversation in every dance. Whether at the end of a swingout or throwing down in a solo jam, she seeks opportunities to bring rhythm and creativity to the dance floor.

Shannon Lea became stuck on lindy hop shortly after moving to Indiana in 2010. The Midwest remains her swing dancing home as she travels across the country to dance. As a teacher, Shannon Lea’s goal is to inspire students to find their own voice and creativity. She encourages her students to seek joy and possibilities in the music, and always hopes to hook a new generation of lindy hop addicts.
